My AI 4 Life (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates Zazu, an AI-powered household assistant available through WhatsApp, Apple iMessage, and other supported messaging platforms.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Zazu collects and accesses, how we use it, when it may be shared with service providers, how we protect and retain it, and the choices you have regarding your information.
By using Zazu, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Zazu and which services you choose to connect, we may collect or process the following information.
Account and profile information
We may collect:
Your phone number or Apple ID, depending on the messaging platform you use
Your name
Your language preference
Your timezone
Your city or general location
Other profile information you voluntarily provide to Zazu
We use this information to identify your account, communicate with you, and personalize the service.
Messages and conversation content
We process the messages, instructions, files, images, voice messages, and other content you send to Zazu.
We use this information to:
Respond to your requests
Perform actions you ask Zazu to perform
Maintain conversation context
Remember relevant information when memory features are enabled
Create reminders, tasks, briefings, lists, and other requested functionality
Improve the reliability and quality of user-facing Zazu features
Usage and technical information
We may collect information such as:
Interaction timestamps
Feature usage
Service performance information
Error and diagnostic information
Information necessary to prevent abuse and maintain service security
We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Zazu.
2. Connected Accounts and Services
Connecting third-party accounts to Zazu is optional.
Zazu may allow you to connect services such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 so that Zazu can help you manage information and perform actions within those services.
We access connected-service data only after you authorize the connection and only to provide the Zazu functionality described in this Privacy Policy.

Google API Services User Data Disclosure
Connecting your Google account to Zazu is optional. If you choose to connect your Google account, Zazu may access Google user data through Google Workspace APIs only after you authorize the connection through Google's OAuth consent flow.
Zazu does not receive or store your Google password.
We access, use, store, and share Google user data only as necessary to provide and improve the user-facing Zazu features that you request or enable.
Zazu's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google Workspace API data is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
Google account information
Where provided as part of the authorized connection, Zazu may process:
Your Google account email address
Your name
Your Google account identifier
OAuth access and refresh tokens required to maintain your authorized connection
Gmail
Depending on the permissions you authorize, Zazu may access and process:
Email sender and recipient information
Email addresses
Subject lines
Email message content
Dates and timestamps
Email thread and message identifiers
Email metadata
Email attachments when relevant to your request
Gmail labels
Gmail settings supported by the permissions you authorize
Search results from your mailbox
Zazu may read and search emails when you ask about an email or when a Zazu feature you have enabled requires relevant email information.
With your instruction, Zazu may also:
Create email drafts in your Gmail Drafts folder
Send emails on your behalf
Mark messages as read or unread
Archive messages
Move messages
Apply or remove labels
Create or rename Gmail labels
Update supported Gmail settings, including vacation responder, signature, or filters
Zazu does not delete Gmail messages and does not modify the content of emails you have already sent or received.
Gmail write actions are performed only when initiated by you or as part of functionality you have explicitly requested or enabled.
Google Calendar
Depending on the permissions you authorize, Zazu may access and process:
Calendar names
Calendar metadata
Event titles
Event descriptions
Event dates and times
Event durations
Recurrence information
Event locations
Event attendees and associated email addresses
Event status and availability information
Other information contained within calendar events
With your instruction, Zazu may:
Read calendar events
Create calendar events
Update calendar events
Cancel calendar events
List calendars available to your Google account
Create or manage sub-calendars
Share supported calendars
Use calendar information to understand your schedule and availability
Calendar write actions are performed only when initiated by you or as part of functionality you have explicitly requested or enabled.
Google Contacts
Depending on the permissions you authorize, Zazu may access Google Contacts information including:
Contact names
Email addresses
Phone numbers
Other contact details stored in your Google Contacts account
Zazu may look up contacts by name when necessary to identify a person you mention in conversation.
For example, if you ask Zazu to “email Sarah,” Zazu may search your Google Contacts to determine which Sarah you mean and retrieve the appropriate email address.
With your explicit instruction, Zazu may also create or update a Google Contact when you ask Zazu to save or update someone's information.
Zazu does not create or modify Google Contacts for unrelated purposes.
Google Tasks
Depending on the permissions you authorize, Zazu may access and manage Google Tasks information including:
Task titles
Task descriptions or notes
Due dates
Completion status
Google Task list information
When you ask Zazu to create a reminder or task, Zazu may create or synchronize a corresponding Google Task so that it is also available through Google's Tasks service.
Zazu may read, create, update, complete, or manage a Google Task only as part of functionality you have requested or enabled.
Google OAuth Permissions
We request only the Google OAuth permissions necessary to provide the Google-connected features available in Zazu.
Depending on the functionality you enable, Zazu may request permissions corresponding to the following Google OAuth scopes:

User-initiated Google actions
Actions that modify your Google account, including sending email, creating drafts, modifying email state, applying labels, changing Gmail settings, creating or updating contacts, managing Google Tasks, or creating or modifying calendar events, are performed only as part of functionality you have requested or explicitly enabled.
Zazu does not use Google account permissions to independently modify your Google account for unrelated purposes.
AI processing of Google data
When you ask Zazu to summarize, draft, reason about, or otherwise work with Google Workspace content, relevant portions of that content may be transmitted securely to AI service providers acting on our behalf, including Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google, solely to generate the requested Zazu response or action.
Depending on the request, this information may include relevant:
Email subject lines
Email message text
Attachments
Calendar event information
Contact information
Task information
These providers process Google Workspace data only as necessary to provide Zazu functionality and are not permitted by Zazu to use Google Workspace API data for advertising, data brokerage, or the development, improvement, or training of generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models.
Storage of Google data
Full raw Gmail message content is processed only as necessary to provide the requested functionality and is not retained as an independent permanent copy for unrelated purposes.
Information derived from Google Workspace data may be retained when necessary to provide a user-requested Zazu feature. For example, if you ask Zazu to create a reminder from an email, the information required for that reminder may be stored as part of the reminder.
Google-related metadata may also be retained where necessary to maintain conversation context, support follow-up actions, or operate the requested feature.
Google OAuth credentials are stored securely and are removed when the Google connection is disconnected.
Disconnecting Google
You may disconnect your Google account from Zazu at any time by asking Zazu to “disconnect Google.”
When you disconnect your Google account:
Zazu stops accessing new information from that Google account
The Google authorization is revoked
The associated OAuth credentials are removed from our active systems
Zazu can no longer use the disconnected account to access Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or Google Tasks
You may also revoke Zazu's authorization directly through your Google Account permissions.
Disconnecting Google does not necessarily delete information that was previously incorporated into a user-requested Zazu feature, such as a reminder, task, conversation, or memory. You may separately request deletion of your Zazu account and associated personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
4. How We Use Google Workspace Data
We use Google Workspace data only to provide or improve user-facing Zazu features that you request, authorize, or enable.
For example, Zazu may use Google Workspace data to:
Find emails or information you ask about
Summarize relevant emails and email threads
Identify appointments, deadlines, commitments, school information, household information, bills, tasks, follow-ups, and other relevant information
Create reminders or tasks based on information you ask Zazu to process
Generate proactive briefings from features you have enabled
Help draft email responses
Send email at your request
Answer questions about your calendar or availability
Identify scheduling conflicts
Create or update calendar events at your request
Maintain relevant context needed to provide the Zazu functionality you have requested
We do not use Google Workspace data for:
Advertising or targeted advertising
Retargeting
Building advertising profiles
Selling information to data brokers or information resellers
Determining creditworthiness
Lending purposes
Providing Google Workspace data to third parties for their own independent purposes
Google Workspace API data is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
Zazu's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. AI Processing of Google Workspace Data
Zazu is an AI-powered service. Providing Zazu's functionality may require artificial-intelligence systems to process information relevant to a user's request.
When necessary to provide a Zazu feature, limited portions of information retrieved from Gmail, Google Calendar, or another connected service may be sent to AI service providers acting on our behalf.
These providers may include:
Anthropic
OpenAI
Google
For example, if you ask Zazu to summarize an email, create a reminder from an email, understand a document attached to an email, or reason about your calendar, relevant portions of that information may be processed by an AI provider in order to complete the request.
Depending on the task, this information may include:
Email subject lines
Relevant email body content
Relevant attachments
Calendar event titles
Event descriptions
Event dates and times
Event locations
Event attendee information
Other information necessary to perform the requested Zazu feature
We aim to provide service providers only with information reasonably necessary to perform the requested functionality.
Google Workspace data processed through Zazu is not provided to AI service providers for advertising, data brokerage, or the development, improvement, or training of generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models.
We do not sell Google Workspace data.
6. Human Access to Google Workspace Data
We do not permit employees, contractors, or other humans to read Google Workspace data except in limited circumstances where:
You explicitly ask us to access specific information in order to provide support
Access is necessary to investigate a security incident, fraud, abuse, bug, or technical issue
Access is required to comply with applicable law or valid legal process
You otherwise provide explicit consent
Information has been aggregated and anonymized so that it cannot reasonably identify an individual
Where human access is permitted, access is limited to authorized personnel and subject to appropriate security and confidentiality controls.
7. Storage and Protection of Google Workspace Data
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by Zazu.
These measures include:
Encryption of data in transit
Encryption of stored data at rest
Access controls designed to restrict access to authorized systems and personnel
Secure handling and storage of OAuth credentials
Controls intended to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of information
Monitoring and security practices designed to protect our production systems
Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are used only to maintain the Google connection you have authorized.
8. Storage and Retention of Google Workspace Data
Zazu processes Google Workspace information only as necessary to provide user-facing functionality.
Some information retrieved from Google Workspace may be temporarily processed to complete a request without becoming part of your persistent Zazu account data.
Information derived from Google Workspace may also become part of Zazu data when necessary to provide a feature you requested or enabled.
For example, if you ask Zazu to create a reminder from an email, the relevant information needed for that reminder may be stored as part of the reminder. Similarly, information may be retained as part of conversation history, memory, a task, a briefing, or another user-facing Zazu feature.
We do not retain Google Workspace data for unrelated advertising, data brokerage, or generalized AI-model training purposes.
Personal data associated with an active Zazu account may be retained for as long as necessary to provide the service.
Accounts with no activity for 12 months may be automatically deleted.
Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being permanently removed from those backups.
9. Disconnecting Your Google Account
You can disconnect your Google account from Zazu at any time.
You can ask Zazu to “disconnect Google” or revoke Zazu's access directly through your Google Account permissions.
When you disconnect Google:
Zazu stops requesting new information from the disconnected Google account
The authorization allowing Zazu to access the account is revoked
Google OAuth credentials associated with the connection are removed from our active systems
Zazu can no longer use the disconnected account to access Gmail or Google Calendar
Disconnecting your Google account does not necessarily delete information that was previously incorporated into a user-requested Zazu feature, such as a reminder, task, conversation, or memory.
You can separately request deletion of your Zazu account and associated personal information as described below.
10. Microsoft Account Data
If you choose to connect a Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft 365 account, Zazu may access:
Outlook Mail
Zazu may read and search email information and may send email on your behalf when requested or authorized by you.
Outlook Calendar
Zazu may read calendar information and create, update, or manage calendar events at your direction.
Outlook Contacts
Zazu may access contact information when necessary to resolve people you reference or perform functionality you request.
Microsoft account connections are optional.
Zazu accesses Microsoft information only as necessary to provide user-facing Zazu functionality that you request or enable.
You can disconnect your Microsoft account at any time by asking Zazu to “disconnect Microsoft” or by revoking access through your Microsoft account settings.
11. How We Use Your Information
In addition to the connected-service uses described above, we may use information processed by Zazu to:
Provide the Zazu service
Personalize your experience
Respond to your requests
Maintain relevant conversation context
Provide memory features you enable
Create reminders, notifications, lists, tasks, and briefings
Perform actions you request on connected services
Respond to support requests
Protect Zazu and its users
Prevent fraud and abuse
Monitor service reliability
Diagnose and fix technical issues
Improve user-facing Zazu functionality
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use personal information obtained through Google Workspace APIs for advertising.
12. Service Providers and Data Sharing
We use third-party service providers to operate Zazu.
These providers process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services to us and support Zazu's user-facing functionality.
Depending on the feature you use, these providers may include:
Cloud infrastructure providers
We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) for infrastructure, hosting, storage, and related cloud services.
Information necessary to operate your Zazu account and provide the service may be processed or stored using this infrastructure.
AI service providers
We may use AI providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google to understand requests, reason about information, and generate responses or actions.
Relevant portions of user information, including information from connected services where necessary, may be processed by these providers solely to provide Zazu functionality.
Google Workspace data is subject to the additional restrictions described in Sections 3 through 9 of this Privacy Policy.
Messaging providers
When you interact with Zazu through a third-party messaging platform such as WhatsApp or Apple Messages, that platform necessarily processes information needed to deliver messages between you and Zazu according to its own terms and privacy practices.
Other disclosures
We may also disclose information:
When required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or valid legal process
When reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of My AI 4 Life, Zazu, our users, or others
In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of company assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections
We do not provide personal information to third parties for their own advertising or data-brokerage purposes.
13. WhatsApp and Other Messaging Platforms
When you communicate with Zazu through WhatsApp, message delivery is facilitated through WhatsApp and Meta's infrastructure.
Meta may process information associated with message delivery in accordance with its own privacy practices.
Zazu receives the content and metadata necessary to receive your message, understand your request, and respond.
If Zazu supports additional messaging platforms, those platforms may similarly process information necessary to deliver messages.
14. Apple Messages
When using Zazu through Apple iMessage or Apple Messages for Business, Apple facilitates message delivery and may process message information in accordance with Apple's privacy practices.
We process message content received through the service as necessary to provide Zazu functionality.
15. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Zazu, satisfy the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements.
For active accounts, profile information, conversation history, memory, tasks, and other account information may be retained while the account remains active.
Accounts with no activity for 12 months may be automatically deleted.
Deleting your Zazu data
You can request deletion of your Zazu account and associated personal information at any time.
You may do this by:
Sending STOP to Zazu through a supported messaging platform, or
Contacting privacy@getzazu.io
When an account deletion request is confirmed, we delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account from active systems, except where retention is required by applicable law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or other legitimate legal purposes.
Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being permanently removed as those backups expire.
16. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
Request access to personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information
Request a portable copy of your information where applicable
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Disconnect a connected Google or Microsoft account
Stop receiving Zazu communications
Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
17. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis for processing, including for users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Israel, we may process information based on:
Performance of a contract
Processing necessary to provide Zazu and perform functionality you request.
Consent
For optional connected-service features and other processing where consent is required.
You may withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate interests
For purposes such as securing the service, preventing fraud or abuse, maintaining service reliability, and improving user-facing functionality, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Legal obligations
Where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
18. AI Disclosure
Zazu is powered by artificial intelligence.
Responses, recommendations, summaries, and other functionality may be generated or performed using AI systems.
Unless clearly indicated otherwise, users should understand that they are interacting with an AI-powered service rather than a human.
AI-generated output can occasionally be inaccurate. Users should review important information and decisions where appropriate.
19. Children and Family Information
Zazu accounts are not intended to be created or independently used by children under 16.
Zazu is designed in part to help adults and families manage household responsibilities. As a result, an adult user may provide Zazu with information relating to members of their household, including children.
This information may include, for example:
Names
Family relationships
School information
Activities
Appointments
Calendar information
Reminders
Other household-related information
Where a parent or guardian provides information about a child in order to use Zazu's family-management functionality, we process that information only as described in this Privacy Policy.
If you believe a child has independently created an account or provided personal information to Zazu without appropriate authorization, contact privacy@getzazu.io and we will investigate and, where appropriate, delete the information.
20. International Data Transfers
Zazu and the service providers that support Zazu may process information in different countries.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
These may include contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
21. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Zazu evolves or our legal obligations change.
When we make material changes affecting how we use personal information, we will provide notice where required.
The “Last updated” date at the beginning of this Privacy Policy identifies the most recent revision.
